ROTK Madness

| | Comments (4)

It was a madhouse last night. All 17 of the megaplex's theaters sold out-- all showing ROTK. DANG.

I just read an article in the local paper about all the LOTR madness that went down yesterday. Though many of the Utah LOTR diehards were at Trilogy Tuesday, some bailed and went over to theonering.net's line party at the Ritz theater in West Valley. Anyways, this article mentions the madness at the Jordan commons, including those who slept out overnight for the best Trilogy Tuesday seats-- Dan and Steve, we salute you!

Also interesting was to note the suggestion that LOTR fans are by far more geeky and fanatic than Star Wars fans. I guess the mania for ROTK was by far greater than any Star Wars or Harry Potter or Matrix opening...

I never saw chicks like the manufactured woman at any Star Wars event and I have been to the opening showings for both episodes so far... I would have to say Star Wars still wins out on nerd-dom, unless women are coming around to how cool being a nerd really is.

Are you talking about the chick with the pink top? Well to start I think she was with one of those PC Laptops fags. Probably didn't even know what Lord of the Rings was. Second, yes she was manufactured, looked a lot like one of your DOA characters or from some other video game where women are "manufactured". As Samwise would say, it's not natural, none of it!

I must have missed the "manufactured woman." All I can say is, Trilogy Tuesday was one of those once-in-a-lifetime events that I'll be remembering for a long, long time. We are the few, the proud, and the crazy. But dang...what a day. And what a movie. I'm still floored.

How could you miss the manufactured woman?? She was going around stabbing people. Kinda like the new "Whores of TI" (It's supposed to be "Sirens of TI", but we renamed it.) The new treasure island show, they replaced the cool pirate show in vegas.
It was definately Good Times on tuesday. Thanks again to the Sloans for making it all possible!!
