Unscathed

Well as far as I can tell I have survived "talk like a pirate day", aka "the day bad things happen to mikie", without damage.

It was stormy Saturday night... thunder and lighting. I wasnt messing around, I unplugged my computers from the wall so there would be no chance of power surge to damage my hard drives or any other components as I suspected had happened 2 years ago.

I also refrained from driving anywhere.

I haven't plugged my computers back in yet (the laptop is wireless, no worries) so I can't rule out some sort of problem there, but as far as I know I'm fine... thank goodness.
