It's started already. This is what I came in to find on my desk at work this morning.
Ah, maybe I wrote about this last year. I felt so bad because Christmas came around and all these people in my new department (it was new to me back then) left these little gifts on my desk and being the non-thoughtful guy that I am, I didn't even so much as give people in my department cards. Guilt.
It's going on again this year, of course. Yesterday I got a jar of homemade salsa (good stuff) and a couple other little things, and came in today to find more.
The thing that sucks is that they're pretty much all women-- so not only are they thoughtful but they've only spent very little on the gift yet have made it look nice. You can tell they spent some time on them (even if they mass produce them and give them to everybody, it still takes time and effort). They're all crafty and creative, and I'm lazy the mizer who hasn't done anything for my coworkers yet. I'll have to come up with something tonight so I don't feel like a jerk again this year, hehe. It's making it look pretty that I don't have the energy for, hehe.
