February 2005 Archives

The last day of February, woot.

So I had a midterm today in a class that I haven't previously had any tests in and hadn't previously read any of the book for. I was a little nervous and spent probably 5-6 hours on Saturday studying for it. LAME. I got to class today and the test was multiple choice, 17 questions long, and probably took me under 2 minutes to complete. Oh well-- it's not like I had anything better to do on Saturday, right?

Starving, I figured I'd head over to the university mall to catch grab a bite at Hibachi San-- best fast food teriyaki chicken I can find, with orange chicken almost as good as Pandas, mmm... but what I really wanted was a Cinnabon to celebrate the last day of this terrible month, but damage-- Cinnabon had shut down! Now maybe I'm retarded and they opened it up somewhere else in the mall, but I didn't figure they had, so I just wandered around the mall a bit and then headed over to Costco. I remember Costco had cinnabon by the box that you could heat up. I didn't care if I had to buy a load of them to get it, I wanted it.

To no avail. Costco let me down too. Ah well. I noticed an Apple store there by the mall as well, so being the computer whore that I am I went over to check it out. This was the first time I had laid eyes on the 30" Apple Cinema Display in person. My jaw dropped as I saw it... holy cow. It's true, it really does have to be seen to be believed. It's times like this that my wallet is thankful that I am a PC user at home, because there just aren't consumer level video cards for PC (yet) that can power that beast. It's bad enough that I've begun lusting after HDTV, now this...

I rounded out the day putting some Eurodance onto a Hi-MD disc for use at the gym (that should get me to the gym, heh), and then finding a couple old (like year 2000) MD's with K-pop on them. I popped in my "Best of 엄정화 (Uhm Jeong Hwa)" disc and oh the memories... hehe. I only wish I had a sound clip on here for you right now. I definitely need to dig into my old K-pop CDs again. Maybe it's the fact that I watched part of "Lost" last week which was just full of Korean-- it's kinda making me miss Korea and Koreans in general.

Anyways, peace out February, hello March.

Thanks for the image, Ty

Thought I'd share this with my blog readers. Taken from viceversa.com... Ty sent this along this morning, and it gave me a good laugh. Very cool-- I want.

Side note-- I think I'll refrain from making posts that have anything remotely to do with STDs in the near future (oops, I said it). It turns out it attracts shady comment bots. Grrr...

Happy weekend!

I just thought you'd all like to know that Bobo just puked. Again.

I guess all the name calling has finally gotten him down, he's started binging and purging. I mean he's always been a hog-- as a result, last time the two labs were weighed, Bo was 30 pounds heavier than Indy (remember these dogs are the same age-- brothers). But this is the third time he's thrown up in the last 2 days. Yeck. Be thankful I didn't post a picture of the cookies he tossed ;)

Bobo-Fat, Chocolate Chub, Bobo-Wally-Harriet... I know there are other names he's been called, but maybe it's time to lay off the name calling and get him going on therapy.

(hey-- an inane update about Bo puking is better than no update, right? He otherwise seems happy so I'm not too worried about him... yet.)

The view from just outside my cube at the new office

Lest I go a whole month without updating and allow the blog to fall empty, I thought I'd update today. Work has been hectic until recently... I moved to the new corporate campus in Riverton on January 21, I must say the new space is really nice compared to that dismal gray office at the Jordan Commons.

What else is there to say? I really hate January and February, I typically get pretty depressed these months. VD has nothing to do with it either-- today sucks no worse than any other day of the year as far as being single goes. Mondays in winter always get me down... if anything VD means February is half over... bring on March already.
