February 2007 Archives

I have been oblivious to the Valentines season this year. Until Saturday, when I went to get some hot wing sauce for the superbowl the next day, and I was bombarded with pink and red. "Oh yeah!" As I remembered what time of year it was.

This week Kathy brought in some chocolate for the candy dish at work-- I've been shirking my duties since Christmas. This one I felt was appropriate for posting, hehe:

As a side note, I think I'm becoming a big fan of Dove dark chocolate. I used to not care for dark at all. Maybe it's just that I haven't eaten anything since breakfast. As another Dove wrapper says, "chocolate always loves you back!" Hmmm... that's one to ponder.

The title is from one of many classic moments in the movie "The Burbs", if you didn't know. Definitely a show you need to watch if you haven't seen it (and if you have seen it, you still need to watch it.)

So it actually worked.

I was driving along 12600 so. today in the dark and there was a car behind me that had just pulled onto the road-- you guessed it, no headlights, though the silhouette clearly visible via the headlights behind it.

I turned on my "hazard" blinkers for a few seconds. A second after I turned them off, bing! The dude turned his/her brain on and promptly turned his/hear headlights on. I've tried to communicate the headlights thing once or twice in the past (so dangerous driving with out them), but haven't ever left my hazards on that long to get the message across. It actually works-- sweet.
