Married Not Just
So Jesse and I went to Rexburg this past weekend for Jesse's cousin's wedding reception. His Aunt Charlotte was there, and she loves to decorate cars for weddings. At our wedding two years ago, Jesse arranged for neither of us to have a car anywhere so we could avoid that sticky mess (thank goodness). But Aunt Charlotte has always been bitter about that, and vowed to get us sometime.
After this reception, when everyone went outside to send off the bride and groom, I saw my car in the parking lot. Mind you, I'm really bad at cleaning my car, and I just had it cleaned for the first time in probably 3 or 4 months. And there it was...totally painted. On the back windshield it said, "Married Not Just" and the front windshield said "Jesse and Marianne". Then there were hearts and stuff everywhere. Besides being a little irked by the paint on my car, it was kind of funny.
But the funniest was when we stopped at a gas station on the way out of town, and Jesse scraped off the "Just". We drove all the way home with "Married Not" on our window. I kept forgetting it said that, and wondered why we kept getting funny looks. Anyways, it was funny. :)

Classic. I always thought the limo idea was pretty slick. Wish I'd rented a limo the night of your reception, haha.
I wonder where the idea for decorating cars at weddings/wedding receptions came from....

i hate that tradition. fortunately that stuff doesn't usually go in in the temple parking lot, and we made sure not to take our car to the reception. that would make me angry. i'm impressed that you seemed to take it well.
